Tribute to those who are Serving God through Media

Archdiocese of Manila, through His Eminence Archbishop Jaime L. Cardinal Sin, organized the Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) in 1978, in observance of the International Social Communications Day (established by the Universal Church to stress the importance of mass media and to instill a sense of responsibility in communicators). It is the means by which the Archdiocese of Manila pays tribute to those who have promoted Christian values in an outstanding way, in radio, press, advertising, television, and film.

CMMA Vision and Mission

To reward, as well as to pay tribute to media products that enhance the total human development of the Filipino audience through the competent and professional use of mass media techniques.


To promote the basic human values:

Love for God
Love for Truth
Respect for the Natural Environment
Promotion of Positive Filipino Values
Love for Family & Life

Send forth your Holy Spirit
That we may be inspired
To carry on with the task
Of taking part of the transformation
Of mass media
In proclaiming the good news to all people
Through the recognition of productions
That are values-filled,
God-centered and for the integral development.
